Laying Down the Law
The Law-the ten commandments and rules
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law(the ten commandments and rules)-Galatians 5-NKJV.
For the law(the ten commandments and rules) was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ-John 1-NKJV. The law(the ten commandments and rules) came to the jews through moses and establishes the religion of judaism. The Holy Spirit and True Knowledge came through Jesus Christ and establishes True Christianity. It is critical to know and understand the phrase the law. the law: all of the rules, regulations, commandments and ordinances found in the old testament including the ten commandments. The following scriptures show that the phrase the law does include the ten commandments: For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet-Romans 7-NKJV. You shall not covet is one of the ten commandments and is called the law. And again it says “For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law-James 2-NKJV. Do not commit adultery and do not murder are two of the ten commandments and are called the law.
Jesus said concerning the law: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled-Matthew 5-NKJV. Jesus came not to change or destroy the law for the law is still in effect and people who are not Chrisitians and Christians who are not Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, and Walking In The Holy Spirit are still followers of the law since they do not follow Jesus-whether they know it or not. If you desire to be a follower of the law-a follower of moses and judaism instead of a follower of Jesus and be a Christian-then do not become a Christian and Be Jesus, Do The Work Of Jesus, and Walk In The Holy Spirit.
If I am wrong about what I Teach about the law then paul is even more wrong-for Paul Taught the same thing in The New Testament that I Teach. Paul said: Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law(the ten commandments and rules) through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another-to Him(Jesus) who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh(before we became Christians and while we are not Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, and Walking In The Holy Spirit), the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter(the law-jot and tittle). What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good(for it is by the law that we realize we need Jesus and The Holy Spirit). Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful(so that we will repent)-Romans 7-NKJV.
Now we know that whatever the law(the ten commandments and rules) says, it says to those who are under the law(the ten commandments and rules), that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law(the ten commandments and rules) no flesh will be justified in His sight(in the opinion of God), for by the law(the ten commandments and rules) is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law (the ten commandments and rules) is revealed-Romans 3-NKJV.
The law(the ten commandments and rules) was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor(no longer under the ten commandments and rules). Galatians 3-NKJV.
Because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression-Romans 4-NKJV.
God sent forth His Son, born under the law(the ten commandments and rules), to redeem those who were under the law(the ten commandments and rules). How is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements(the law-the ten commandments and rules), to which you desire again to be in bondage-Galatians 4-NKJV. O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law(by following the ten commandments and rules), or by the hearing of faith(by being Truly Born Again)? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit(by being Truly Born Again), are you now being made perfect by the flesh(by following the ten commandments and rules)? Have you suffered so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law(because of following the ten commandments and rules), or by the hearing of faith (by being Jesus, Doing the Work of Jesus and Walking In The Holy Spirit)_Galatians 3_NKJV.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free(being Jesus, Doing the Work of Jesus and Walking In The Holy Spirit), and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage(being followers of moses-the ten commandments and rules). Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised(be a follower of moses-the ten commandments and rules), Christ will profit you nothing. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law(the ten commandments and rules); you have fallen from grace. You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him(Jesus) who calls you. And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision(being a follower of moses-the ten commandments and rules), why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased(a huge reason Christians are persecuted is for not being followers of moses-the ten commandments and rules). For you, brethren, have been called to liberty(freedom from the ten commandments and rules)-Galatians 5-NKJV.
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh(the lust of the flesh: doing-thinking-believing-teaching things for selfish-wrong-evil-reasons). For the flesh(selfishness which is hate) lusts against the Spirit(selflessness which is Love), and the Spirit (selflessness which is Love) against the flesh (selfishness which is hate); and these are contrary to one another. But if you are led by the Spirit(being Jesus, Doing the Work of Jesus and Walking In The Holy Spirit), you are not under the law(the ten commandments and rules)-Galatians 5_NKJV.
Selflessness is unselfish concern for the welfare of others where you are acting with less concern for yourself and have more interest for the success of others. Selfishness is stinginess resulting from a concern for your own welfare and a disregard for any True Concern, True Care, True Love of-and for-others.
Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches(give money etc. to Teachers who teach True Christianity). Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh(selfishness which is hate) will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit(selflessness which is Love) will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work-Galatians 6-NKJV. Examine your own works for Jesus-compare yourself to Jesus. Just because you do more than other people does not mean a whole lot. People are evil-doing more than other evil people is not exactly thrilling.
But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners(evil doers), is Christ therefore a minister of sin(evil)? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor-Galatians 2-NKJV. If a person starts doing evil again after becoming a christian then such a person is as though they were never a christian-so therefore are again under condemnation. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit-Romans 8-NKJV).
Knowing this, that our old man(the person we were) was crucified with Him(Jesus), that the body of sin(evil) might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin(evil). For he who has died has been freed from sin(evil). (I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me-Galatians 2-NKJV.) Reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin(evil), but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin(evil) reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts(lusts: selfishness which is hate). And having been set free from sin(evil), you became slaves of righteousness. For when you were slaves of sin(evil), you were free in regard to righteousness(selflessness which is Love)-Romans 6-NKJV.
Then He(Jesus) said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come(evil doers attacking you and your work for Jesus), but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these(harm you and your work for Jesus)-Luke 17-NKJV.
Now we know that whatever the law(the ten commandments and rules) says, it says to those who are under the law(the ten commandments and rules)-Romans 3-NKJV. Because the law(the ten commandments and rules) brings about wrath; for where there is no law(the ten commandments and rules) there is no transgression-Romans 4-NKJV. If you are Truly Born Again and are ALSO Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit-then for you there is no law(the ten commandments and rules) so therefore you cannot break the law(the ten commandments and rules) because for you they do not exist. For Christ is the end of the law(the ten commandments and rules) for righteousness to everyone who believes(for everyone who is Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit)-Romans 10-NKJV.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin(doing Evil) that grace may abound(doing evil since we think Jesus will forgive us)? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin(doing evil) live any longer in it(doing evil)? For sin(evil) shall not have dominion over you, for(because) you are not under law but under grace(if you are Truly Born Again and are ALSO Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit then sin(evil which is selfishness and pride) is something you no longer participate in-sin(evil which is selfishness and pride) no longer tempts you-doing evil, doing sin(evil which is selfishness and pride) is no longer of interest to you)-Romans 6-NKJV.
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law(the ten commandments and rules) but by faith in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified(becoming a Truly Good person) by faith in Christ(having been Truly Born Again and are ALSO Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit) and not by the works of the law(the ten commandments and rules); for by the works of the law(following the ten commandments and rules) no flesh shall be justified(NO ONE can become good and go to heaven through the ten cammandments and rules)-Galatians 2-NKJV. So by following the law(the ten commandments and rules) you cannot be saved or please God because you can only pretend that you are good and become a hypocrite-a pretender-an actor-a poser. You deceive yourself and others with your phony goodness. You know what is truly evil and Truly Good on the basis of selfishness which is evil and is hate-and selflessness which is goodness and is Love-not on the basis of the ten commandments-rules-laws. Instead of following the law(the ten commandments and rules and laws) a Truly Born Again Christian must follow The Holy Spirit: “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law(the ten commandments and rules)-Galatians 5-NKJV. And again: “But now we have been delivered from the law(the ten commandments and rules), having died to what we were held by(evil and the ten commandments and rules), so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.-Romans 7-NKJV.
Is Walking In The Holy Spirit a licence to sin and do evil? Of course not! On the contrary, Walking In The Spirit is the only way you can keep yourself from sinning(doing evil)! Would The Holy Spirit lead you to do evil? No, of course not! When we walk in The Spirit we are being guided by God Himself! If you are walking in The Holy Spirit you are free from the law-BUT ONLY WHEN YOU ARE WALKING IN THE SPIRIT! But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law(the ten commandments and rules)-Galatians 5-NKJV. You can be a Born Again Christian and not be walking in The Spirit. When you are not walking in The Holy Spirit but are walking in the flesh(in the control of satan) like a non-christian you are under the law and are constantly feeling condemned and being condemned by the law: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For what the law(the ten commandments and rules) could not do, God did by sending His own Son(Jesus) in the likeness of sinful flesh, He(Jesus) condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit-Romans 8-NKJV. A christian who is not walking in The Spirit will be as the defeated christian that Paul describes: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will(the desire to do good) is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will(want) to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do(do not want to do), that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do(doing the evil that you do not want to do), it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me(in other words you are allowing satan to control you-thereby the devil is doing evil through you). I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death(the control of satan)? I thank God — through Jesus Christ our Lord!(Jesus will deliver you from the control of satan(the devil) and the power of satan(the devil) if you Truly Are Born Again and are ALSO Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit)-Romans 7-NKJV. So as you can see a Born Again Christian who is not Walking In The Holy Spirit has a split personality that is fighting one side against the other. And as Jesus said: If a house is divided against itself that house cannot stand-Mark 3:25-NKJV-you being the house. Not Being Truly Born Again and ALSO Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit is living under the law of sin(doing evil) and death(you will be harming or crushing others and destroying yourself).
Paul is discussing in romans chapter 7 what it is like-how it feels-how it is-to be trying to be a christian by following the law(the ten commandments and rules)-trying to be good. Which also is the same as a non-christian tying to follow the law(the ten commandments and rules)-trying to be good. Or a follower of judaism tying to follow the law(the ten commandments and rules)-trying to be good. It is total failure-the only good thing about this person paul talks about in romans chapter 7 is that this person genuinly wants to do and be good-so this person can start to be and do good if they understand that they do and are evil and begin Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit.
Romans chapter 8 clearly says that you must Walk In The Spirit in order to do and be good. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. The righteous requirement fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit-Romans 8-NKJV.
Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law(the ten commandments and rules) has dominion over a man as long as he lives-Romans 7-NKJV. But if you have died to yourself-the world-your old life-died to evil(selfishness which is hate) then the law(the ten commandments and rules) no longer has rule over you. If you are Being Jesus, Doing The Work Of Jesus, And Walking In The Holy Spirit then the law(the ten commandments and rules) has died in your life just like a husband dying in marriage: For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law(the ten commandments and rules) to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law(the ten commandments and rules) of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law(the ten commandments and rules), so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law(the ten commandments and rules) through the body of Christ, (you were crucified and died with Jesus-died to your old self) that you may be married to another — to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. But now we have been delivered from the law(the ten commandments and rules), having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter-Romans 7-NKJV.
For those who live according to the flesh(pride, stinginess, greed, selfishness, cowardness, etc.), set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded(life without major daily self sacrifice) is death, but to be spiritually minded(selflessness) is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity(to be an antichrist) against God-Romans 8-NKJV.
So then, those who are in the flesh(having pride, stinginess, greed, selfishness, cowardness, etc.) cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh(having pride, stinginess, greed, selfishness, cowardness, etc.) you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body(pride, stinginess, greed, selfishness, cowardness, etc.), you will live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear. The Spirit Himself(The Holy Spirit inside of you) bears witness with our spirit(your personal spirit that is your existance and is you) that we are children of God, if indeed we suffer with Him(Jesus), that we may also be glorified together. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son(being Jesus). Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all. Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns(satan and the people who follow the devil). It is Christ who died, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord-Romans 8-NKJV.
